Trails are now fully dried out and able to support all trail activities.  Birds and animals are loving the early spring and continuing great weather.  Come out and explore the trails!

Wildflowers Begin!

Trailing Arbutus (may flower) has already started to appear on April 11th.  Over 30 species of wildflowers are commonly found on Libby Hill, download the checklist here!

Bird Hotspot Guide for Libby Hill

Over 50 species of birds have been spotted at Libby Hill.  Over the next 3 months many migrating birds will come to nest and live on the hill.  See all the species that you could discover on your next walk!

July 10, 2010 -  After two years of hard work the Gray Community of Endowment (GCE) met its goal of raising $160,000 to pay off the money it borrowed to purchase 29 acres from Hancock.  Gray voters put the fundraising over the top when they approved $8,000 as part of the town's budget in June's election. We have now permanently secured for public use the gateway property to Libby Hill!

Thanks so much to the over 200 individual donors, the Friends of Libby Hill, the LLC, the foundations and other funders, and to the many local businesses that helped support fundraising events.

An ice cream social is planned for August 1 to celebrate the success of the Save Libby Hill Campaign. Join us for the celebration and to hear about GCE's plans for its new mission, "providing strategic leadership and vision to help Gray become a vibrant, healthy, and sustainable community.

Gray Physical Therapy Gives Libby Hill Trails A Boost!

Many thanks to Leo Credit and staff at Gray Physical Therapy who organized a yard sale and 50-50 raffle that benefited the "Save Libby Hill Campaign"!  Over $430 was raised to help pay the mortgage due on June 30.
