A gift from Robert and Elizabeth Nanovic, to
the citizens of North Yarmouth, Wescustogo Park is comprised of 10 acres of
open fields and access to the Royal River. A hand-carry canoe launch
provides recreational canoeist with an opportunity to enjoy many miles of
the Royal River. Wescustogo Park is located on New Gloucester Road (Rt. 231) at the Royal River. |
| Eastern Trail | The eastern trail project has a local goal of a trail system from Portsmouth, NH to Portland, ME. The recently completed section near Scarborough Marsh is a great walk or bike experience. |
| Bradbury-Pineland Corridor | This is a project that will create a 7 mile trail that connects Bradbury Mountain State Park with Pineland Center trails. Please note this system is not completed but listed for your information. |

| Morgan Meadow, Raymond, Maine | Located very near the Gray town line in Raymond on the Egypt Road, this land purchased in "Land for Maine Future" provides an unstructured wild area to explore. |
| Pineland Public Reserve Land, Gray, Maine | Two trail systems exist here. One off the Depot Road allows a loop hike down to the Royal River. The other new system at Pineland, has over 15 miles of trails that include fields, woods, streams, and views of Mt. Washington. The visitor center has a great bakery (Foley's) and bikes and skis can be rented on site (Gorham Ski and Bike). |

| Range Pond State Park, Poland,Maine | This state park is often sterotyped as a "beach" park but with several miles of trails through woods and lake shore it is one of the most rewarding walks in our area. |
| Portland Trails, Portland,Main | With 30 miles of multiuse trails among ocean, wetlands, and wooded areas you will be amazed at what community based greenbelts can do! |
| Poland Spring Preservation Park, Poland Spring,Maine | This newly created 3 miles of ski, snowshoe, and hiking trails provides another option for local area outdoor enthusiasts. The trails are groomed and a museum, gift shop, and cafe give trail goers lots of options after hitting the trails. |
| Sebago Lake State Park, South Casco, Maine | This park is also know for its large beaches but it also provides a cross country ski system and very pleasant walking trails in the off season. |
| Royal River Park, Yarmouth, Maine | Located on the site of an old paper mill this treasure of an in-town trail system is a must see for creating a green way near a town center. The trail meanders through open fields and follows the various waterfalls of the Royal River through Yarmouth. Park on Elm St. just off Rt. 115 in Yarmouth. |
| Pratt Brook Trails, Yarmouth, Maine | This project in Yarmouth closely resembles our own project. Donated land was transformed by volunteers into several miles of ski and walking trails. It is a little hard to find but well worth the trip. |
| Twin Brooks Recreation Center, Cumberland, Maine | This park was also recently created after purchasing a large open field area of the Tuttle Road in Cumberland. The park consists of several open field areas and and an extensive trail system through the woods and fields. It also links to the Val Halla golf course which provides cross-country ski trails in winter. |
