Just returned from a nice run on the narrow trails at Libby Hill. The conditions are poor for both skiing and snowshoeing as rocks and bare spots are showing up on the narrow trails. The ski trails are pretty ragged with ice, uneven snow, and soon to be bare spots in sections. Some adventurous skiers have enjoyed some classic skiing as evidence by their tracks following the recent storm. The sledding hill is already showing some bare sections in places.
A winter’s hike or walk seems good as long as you’re wearing good footwear. I greeted a user walking her leashed dogs and taking some winter photos on the Outback Trail.
