Logging Activity Closes Harold Libbey and Outback Trails

For the next few weeks, logging activity on the Matthew Morrill Trust will require that the Harold Libbey and Outback trails  be closed.  The Trust owns the land that directly borders Thayer brook near the Outback crossing.  Beavers caused extensive tree damage from flooding and now the land owners wish to salvage some of these trees.  Because of the logging please stay away from this area until the logging is completed in late April.  We hope to reopen all trails after we assess what if any impact the logging will have on the 400 feet of the Harold Libbey Trail and the 300 feet of the Outback trail that crosses the Trust property.
