Best Snow Conditions in 10 Years

We’ve had below freezing temperatures for a month combined with several snowstorms to create the perfect snow conditions at Libby Hill! The ski trails are well groomed and new this year we have a snowdog that packs two of the hiking trails, Lynx and Harold Libbey, for biking and hiking. You can also snowshoe on those trails as well as the other narrow trails, Outback and Ghost. You can also connect to the Thayer Brook Trails via the Upper and Ridge Runner Trails. The snowmobile trail system is also in great shape and gives you options to walk from Cambell Shore Road to Crystal Lake!

For first time skiers, please note the easiest way to get on the ski trails is either by the grooming shed by the Middle School Field or use the driveway in front of the middle school to get to the trails as they pass near the basketball courts. While the Lynx trail near the parking lot can be used to get to the ski trails, it is steep and not ski friendly.

If we are lucky we’ll have this snow for 6 more weeks but a shift if the weather patterns can quickly change conditions. Don’t wait too long to come out and enjoy the best snow in years!

Ski trails are groomed! Remember skiers only on trails, no dogs, hikers, or bikers. Narrow hiking trails are open for those activities.
