Royal River Conservation Trust’s (RRCT) new preserve, Thayer Brook, is under construction, and we expect to connect to Libby Hill Trails at the Outback Trail near the marsh soon. On July 9th at 9:30 am a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 92 Ramsdell Road. Cindy Rogers and Richard Libbey will be cutting the ribbon symbolizing the conservation of their properties that have evolved into both Libby Hill Trails and the new Thayer Brook Preserve. Come and meet the original landowners and the staff and volunteers of RRCT. Learn how the trails interface with each other and how you can plan your next adventure across these conserved lands! Coffee and donuts will also be provided along with fun conversation for everyone. Volunteer trail guides are available for a marsh hike after the event for anyone wanting to see the land for themselves. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be updating maps and information on combining hikes between the two properties.
